ABOUT CONNIE

I am a licensed therapist who combines over 15 years of clinical experience with extensive training in a range of therapeutic method, from foundational psychology to more cutting-edge, holistic approaches, to facilitate transformative life changes for clients. My passion is to empower clients to stop reliving the relationships and experiences that no longer serve them so they can realize their true potential -- at work, within their communities, and in their personal and family lives.

Whether you are facing a stuck marriage or troubled relationship, a suffocating or stressful job, a young adult who’s on the wrong path, or a simple desire to have more love, stronger family connections, or a deeply fulfilling life, I can help guide you to a healthier and happier place.

In my work with clients, I utilize a strong awareness, compassion and intuition to gently help individuals and families uncover and release self-defeating patterns and regain an empowered connection to themselves and others. My clients often find themselves receiving useful “ahas” early – it can be a simple spiritual practice that brings a new calm, a new way of talking or listening to yourself, or a small but dramatic step in taming a seemingly out-of-control situation. When we feel overwhelmed we often look for answers outside of ourselves: if only my child would start behaving, if only my loved one would change, if only my work fulfilled me, if only my finances could sustain me – things would be better. I guide clients to access their own inner strength and wisdom, so they are empowered to handle any situation life hands them – from life’s most difficult circumstances to relationships with the most challenging people.

My training includes a Masters degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in addition to extensive post-graduate training, spanning over ten years, in a range of transformational therapeutic modalities including: hypnotherapy, psychodrama, breath work, trauma therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Depth Psychotherapy (AEDP), Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.
